Share Your Contribution to Language Technologies

The AI in Computational Linguistics (ACLing) conference brings together researchers developing, studying, evaluating, and applying computational methods for language. Its scope includes computational linguistics, natural language processing (NLP), and interdisciplinary research in which language models—including pretrained language models, large language models (LLMs), and vision-language models—play a central methodological role.

Papers may contribute to language-model methods or demonstrate their use in addressing problems across disciplines, including healthcare, education, cybersecurity, business, engineering, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. An application paper does not need to introduce a new language model or a linguistic theory. It should present a clear research contribution and appropriate evaluation of the model’s role, performance, and limitations.

We welcome original, unpublished contributions from academia and industry, including theoretical work, algorithms, architectures, applications, language resources, evaluation methods, and benchmarks. Rigorous survey and position papers that critically examine the field are also welcome.

Researchers at all career stages are encouraged to submit. Papers should make a clear contribution, explain their methods or analytical approach, and support their conclusions with appropriate evidence.

Research on any natural language is welcome—including Arabic. Multilingual, cross-lingual, code-switching, and low-resource-language research are within scope. Papers must be written in English, and presentations delivered in English; this communication requirement does not restrict the language studied.

Related interdisciplinary contributions are welcome where language models play a central role in the research methodology or evaluated system. Contributions may advance language technologies or establish new methods, evidence, or insights concerning their application in other domains. Using a language model solely to write or edit the manuscript does not establish relevance to the conference.

How to Submit Your Paper

1. Prepare a complete manuscript. Use the official ACLing 2026 single-column Word template (preferred) or LaTeX template. Abstract-only submissions are not accepted.
2. Check the length. The standard paper length is 3–8 pages, including figures, tables, and references. Up to 2 additional pages are permitted, for a maximum of 10 pages, with an additional charge for pages 9 and 10. See registration fees.
3. Anonymize the manuscript. Remove author names, affiliations, contact details, acknowledgments, and identifying links. Retain relevant self-citations using neutral, third-person wording.
4. Check originality and scientific integrity. Submit original, unpublished work that is not under consideration at another conference or journal. Authors are responsible for verifying all content, including material prepared with AI assistance.
5. Submit through EasyChair. Follow the full submission instructions and upload your manuscript by the submission deadline.

Rolling Review for Prompt Responses

ACLing 2026 reviews submissions as they are received, rather than waiting until the submission deadline. This rolling review process is intended to provide authors with prompt feedback and decisions. Authors are encouraged to submit early; all papers follow the same scientific standards and double-blind peer-review process.

Where appropriate and feasible, authors may be given a limited opportunity to correct minor administrative or formatting issues. Substantial scientific, originality, integrity, or submission-policy violations may lead to rejection or exclusion from review. See the submission guide for the full policies.

Important Dates

Papers are reviewed progressively as they arrive. The acceptance-notification date above is the published conference milestone.

Conference Proceedings

Accepted papers that fulfill the conference’s camera-ready, registration, and presentation requirements will be submitted for publication in Procedia Computer Science by Elsevier. Final publication is subject to the publisher’s requirements, review, and approval.

The proceedings provide open-access publication with a DOI for each article. Consult the Scopus source record and SCImago entry for indexing and ranking information.

Each accepted paper must be presented by at least one author, in person or virtually, subject to the final program and session allocation. A separate registration fee is required for each accepted paper, even if the same author presents multiple papers.
